We offer a range of educational and hands on activities during your visit here at Old Gippstown. See the Blacksmith at his forge, visit the General Store to see the goods on sale from yesteryear, experience school life in the Sunny Creek school of 1889, play Old Fashioned games and much more.

How does it work?
When booking your school in for a day out at Old Gippstown, you can choose four activities for students to participate in, in a rotation. We will separate students into 2, 3, or 4 groups depending on class sizes. Once you send your booking form in, our staff will create a schedule for you to follow on the day to help things run smoothly.
Price per student is $14 (including GST), and staff or parent helpers (must arrive with the school group) are welcomed for no extra costs, at a ratio of 1:10.

- Sunny Creek School - short lesson with the headmaster
- Blacksmith Demonstration
- General store - learn what shops used to sell
- Old Fashioned Games - play games from the past
- Old Time Movies - watch some cartoons from the 1920s and 30s
- Out Kitchen - learn how people used to cook, clean, and live
- Tour of main street - check out our heritage buildings with a tour guide
- Butter churning - students make their own delicious butter
- Fire truck rides (Sorry, currently not available)
Students will also receive:
- An activity booklet that they can fill out either during their visit or back at school.
- A citizen certificate to commemorate their time here at Old Gippstown
